Moderator: Alexander P. Lamis, Ph.D. , Associate Professor and Co-Editor of Ohio Politics, Department of Political Science Case Western Reserve University. Panelist One: Jerry Austin—Political Strategist and Advisor, Winning Directions, a San Francisco based political consulting firm. Panelist Two: Mark Weaver is the founder of Communications Counsel, INc. in Columbus, Ohio and is a national communications expert with more than two decades of high-level experience, having counseled clients at the national level and in 16 states.

Moderated Program Panel: The Budget Deficit: How Big an Issue, and What Should Be Done About It.

Moderator: Professor Susan Helper, AT&T Professor of Economics, Case Western Reserve University. Panelist One: Joshua B. Gordon, Ph.D., Josh Gordon is the Policy Director of The Concord Coalition, a nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to educating the public about federal budget issues and their consequences for the future. Panelist Two: Dean Baker, Ph.D., Dean Baker is co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, DC.

On Friday evening there will be a hotel van to transport individuals from the hotel to the location of the annual meeting - the Mandel Center buidling on Bellfower Road on the campus of Case Western Reserve University. The hotel van will also return you to your hotel following the panel discussion on Friday evening.
